Arrowhead Bible College

Self Portraits, Pictionary and Pizza... just some of the key components of Leadership Dynamics in Camping Ministry.

This weekend was the first of three for the Leadership course I teach as an adjunct faculty member at Lancaster Bible College.  Our weekend was an intensive look at leadership personalities, structure,  healthiness, critical components and practical knowledge all geared towards success in life after college.

Next up, the class will be back at Arrowhead for more class time and to serve as our James Project group for the Shepherds Camp spring retreat.

Then it's down to Lancaster for the third weekend to finalize projects, make presentations and change the world!

TBT - Tough as Nails

Camp nurses are extraordinary people.  They apply band-aids with a comforting smile and a gentle touch... and I bet they could amputate a leg with a pocket knife and some Lysol if needed.

Thankfully, we are tried and true with the first and not the second.

TBT - A Thousand Words

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.  Well then, a picture of a picture must be worth...

Here's a great throw back aerial view of Arrowhead. Well, great for being a picture of a picture.

What you see and what you don't see:
- The old dining hall
- The north side of the gym with all it's doors and windows
- No kitchen/pantry wing
- No craft room addition
- The cabins faced the lake
- No tube run
- No baseball diamond
- If the maintenance area is there... you can't see it
- The land between camp and Route 167 was all fields

Camp Sign

"Greg is so excited for Shepherds Camp this summer.  He has been making the sign for CAMP every day."
- Care Provider

It doesn't matter how you say it, we agree.  We love camp!

26 to 45

The temperature this morning was 26 degrees.  Later today it is posted to reach 45.  What a difference!  With the recent time change and the break in the weather... our winter retreat season really is coming to a close.

We have had a great winter with guest groups, James Project groups, volunteers, staff and friends coming through the doors here at Arrowhead.  It has been a privilege to partner together with each group and each person.  We are excited to begin shifting gears to work groups, projects and college courses onsite as we prepare for another tremendous summer.

A big THANK YOU! to everyone who made this winter a huge success.
